Who we are
U SHINE Movement is a Canadian non-profit organization. We are established in Ottawa on the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg People. Carolyne M. Chatel is our Founder President.
Our work
We work to empower marginalized youth, immigrants and refugees through storytelling. We aim to reduce discrimination and gender inequalities through non-formal educational projects. Our focus is youth aged 14 to 29. We work locally with communities in Canada and are available to work in other countries. Our goal was to reach 2,000 youths by the end of 2025. U SHINE Movement supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
